Santa Gremlin has come early this year, with some big updates!

First, and most notably, we now have a Wallpaper section! I have gotten quite a few request to have some of the most memorable scenes in Gremlins and Gremlins 2 available for your computer background, and here is the first batch.
11 fantastic wallpapers of fanart and Gremlins 1 for you! If you look in the sidebar, you will see thumbnails of the most recent wallpapers appear there, so check them out if you see any you might like to stare at all day!

If that isn’t enough to knock your socks off, check out the new “Lost Games” section, dedicated to the never-released Playstation 2 and Gamecube Gremlins Games!
Wowzers!
I hope everyone has a great holiday and get ready for a ton more gremliny fun in 2007.

After having my yearly Christmastime viewing of Gremlins, (a traditon I have had since I was a young tater tot) I realized that many people may not have any ideas on how to incorporate Gremlins into their holdiay merriment.
Note: If you are like Kate, and don’t celebrate christmas, well then just think of these as fun ways to spend this wintery season…
1. Watch Gremlins. (Preferrably with someone who hasn’t seen it, or with family)
This one is a no-brainer. It has everything you could want in a christmas movie, Scroogey Mrs Deagle, eggnog addicted cops, Snowplows crashing through WWII Vet’s homes, and santa with a Gremlin on his back!
Ok, well maybe those aren’t the greatest examples of why Gremlins is an uplifting holiday film, but the movie really reminds us that we should be thankful for what we have, and remember each day is a gift. Things could change with a drop of water, a scrap of food, or a wrong move while coming down a chimney on Christmas eve.
If you don’t own Gremlins yet, rent it, or better yet, buy it! The special edition can be found all over fora reasonable price, and is well worth it!
2. Make Gremlins or Mogwai Cookies!
Find an elf cookie cutter, and modify it slightly, (stars work well for the triangle-like ears.)
Make your favorite type of cookies, cut them out, and then add green or brown icing, and cinnamon drops for eyes
(More ideas after the break!)

Finally I get one of the long-promised Tattoos posted, and actually update Fan Art Friday on a Friday!
What a day!
Not a whole lot else to post beyond the fan art today, just that Christmas is coming soon, so be sure to share the holiday cheer of Gremlins with your friends. There is nothing better than a warm night in from the snow and re-acquainting yourself with gremlin-riffic holiday cheer.

(Quick site update: The video game section has been updated with some more information and stay tuned….new section coming THIS WEEK, I assure you! Meanwhile Fan Art Friday is going to be slowing down a bit, so I can focus on the other sections of the site. Fear not, there will be more fan art coming your way!)
A few weeks back I reported on a series of Japanese gremlins figures that were releasing soon that had fantastic detail and made me go all geeky.
Well now I have gone even geekier!
Apparently these figures have released and there is a secret one to be found in the boxes.
Ladies, Gentlemen, Mogwai, and Gremlins, allow me to introduce you to the most fantastic gremlins toy in the multiverse…..

Gizmo on dartboard!
Most people that know me, know that I really am not one of Gizmo’s biggest fans. I feel that he gets entirely too much merchandising when the gremlins get overlooked when it comes to awesomeness like toys or video games. Heck one of the reasons gremlins was so popular was the GREMLINS, sure gizmo was cute and marketable, but the Gremlins were the technical marvels of the 80’s, real enough to traumatize and fascinate a generation of fans.
